Step 1: Choosing the Story

Every design begins with a story.

Step 2: Preparing the Dial

The dial may be small, but preparation is important.

The metal dial is carefully cleaned and prepared so the paint can bond properly to the surface. A smooth base layer is applied to create the perfect canvas for painting.

Without this step, even the best artwork won’t last.

Step 3: Sketching the Design

Once the dial is ready, the artist creates the initial outline.

Because the dial is only 35.5mm wide, every detail must be planned carefully. A steady hand and years of experience are essential.

This stage creates the foundation for the final artwork.

Step 4: Hand-Painting the Artwork
